  18.         Sorry about this, and I DON'T really wish to be seen as a
  19. smartarse.  But I just bought a USR 28.8K Fax modem and plugged it
  20. straight in!  What is the problem with init strings?  I used the default
  21. USR 28.8K selection from the Turnpike setup.  I didn't even move the
  22. dip-switches, although I WAS tempted because one of them is different on
  23. my old USR 14.4K Fax Modem.

  25.         If anyone DOES have hassle with a USR 28.8K, all I can suggest
  26. is to use the factory settings :)  Or post the request and I will post
  27. my init string to the group.
